DAGERAAD
How special is it that right now, we are all floating on an enormous rock in the universe? That the sun comes up everyday, that we experience this endless rhythm of day and night? DAGERAAD pays tribute to the perfect harmony of the moon, the earth and the sun. This installation creates a similar rhythm in the room it is placed in: with a moving light beam, a moving gradient of colours is created on the wall. It includes a dutch poem, written by me:
“maan die zacht om aarde danst
aarde draait verlegen om
een vurig felle, volle zon
die de dag hiervoor nog
onbevangennaar de oppervlakte klom.
een systeem dat automatisch,
onbesproken, ongevraagd
je keer op keer weer meeneemt;
je onbewust door het leven draagt.”
This art-installation was made for the exhibition COPY NATURE in the Academiegalerie, Utrecht. It was a collaboration with Anne Sophie Leurink and Sanne Bakker.
