HUMAN BEINGS

HUMAN BEINGS is a project about love, regardless of gender. For this poster-series I photographed two friends of mine, but left out the parts that are generally considered to define their ‘gender’.

I believe that when two people fall in love, it is always a beautiful and intimate thing: it is not a sin, nor a rule that you can break. To put it simply: love is love. Why would it matter if it is two girls, or two boys? We are all human beings.

However, these posters are not just about homophobia - they also portray the simple act of intimacy. For us (people part of the LGBT+ community), it is almost impossible to walk the streets with our lovers, without making a political statement. So, although these artworks have a strong political message, they are also an ode to romance, in all her forms.
