SLEEPING LOVER
In SLEEPING LOVER, I played with magnetic words on a number of different, non-metal surfaces. I wanted to take the so-called ‘magnet poetry’ away from its usual setting and bring it into my bed, nature, and other places instead.
These pictures contain several sentences that imply heartache and feelings of loneliness. The words show a certain vulnerability, whereas the visuals are somewhat estranging. The alienated vibe and the aching words aim to show a dark kind of melancholy. What do these sentences mean to you?
